Arboriculture Traineeship (Tree Surgeon) – Hadfield

AGA are seeking an individual to undertake an Arboriculture Traineeship (Tree Surgeon) to work with an organisation based in Hadfield. The successful candidates will work full time for 24 months whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Arboriculture’.  

  • Pruning of trees
  • Tree removal
  • Use of elevated work platforms (EWP)
  • Use of wood chippers
  • Tree climbing
  • Chainsaw use
  • Maintain a safe work environment

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to use sound judgment and initiative
  • Enjoy practical, manual and heavy work
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Motivated
  • Reliable and able to take direction


  • Drivers licence 
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Working With Children Check
  • Genuine interest in arboriculture

AGA Apprentices will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
