AGA are thrilled to support reliable and motivated Boilermaker Apprentices for the South Gippsland area. Positions will start in January/February 2021. 

Opportunities available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year apprentices!


  • Work with heavy gauge steel: cutting, shaping, assembling and welding
  • Fabrication and development of items from metal
  • Ensure safety precautions and quality standards are met adhering to OHS guidelines
  • Work under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor

 Skills and Experience:

  • Mechanically minded and enjoy practical work
  • Ability to problem solve and think logically
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to follow direction


  • Drivers licence (P’s are accepted) and reliable vehicle 
  • Cert II in Engineering
  • Relevant work experience in Engineering  
  • Genuine interest in pursuing a career as a Boilermaker

 AGA Apprentices will:

  • Work full time (38 hours per week) 
  • Attend AGA’s accredited Trade Training facility 
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Obtain personal protective equipment

Our Apprentices earn award wages while learning on the job. AGA Apprentices are fully supported by a dedicated Field Officer, and receive quality industry-based training throughout the program.
