AGA is seeking an individual to undertake a Business Traineeship working with a Local Council based in Glen Waverley. The successful candidate will work part time (2-3 days per week) for 12 months whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Business’.  

Responsibilities:

  • General administration duties
  • Assist and support internal staff
  • Invoice checking and verification
  • Invoice processing 
  • Follow up inquires
  • Data Entry  
  • Assist with office management functions

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Competent ability to operate a computer (particularly using Microsoft applications – Word and Excel)
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Self motivation, initiative and accuracy 
  • Commitment to innovation and to organisation development
  • A willingness to learn new skills

Requirements:

  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Working With Children Check
  • Genuine interest in administration/customer service
  • No prior qualifications necessary

AGA Trainees will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
