Carpentry Apprenticeships – South Gippsland

AGA are seeking individuals to undertake a Carpentry Apprenticeship to work with an organisation based in South Gippsland. The successful candidates will commence in January 2020 and work full time for 4 years whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Building and Construction’.  

  • Construct formwork into which concrete is poured
  • Build floors, wall frameworks (timber or metal), roofs and suspended ceilings, and lay timber floors
  • Cut materials with hand and power tools, and assemble or nail, cut and shape parts
  • Install door handles, locks, hardware, flooring underlay, insulating material and other fixtures

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Enjoy practical work
  • A sense of balance and ability to work at heights
  • Able to work as part of a team


  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Pre Apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Medical
  • Genuine interest in carpentry

AGA Apprentices will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Obtain personal protective equipment
