Conservation and Land Management Traineeship- Notting Hill

AGA is seeking an individual to undertake a Conservation and Land Management Traineeship working with a local council based in Notting Hill. The successful candidate will work full time for 24 months whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management’.  
  
Responsibilities:

  • Use machinery such as chainsaws, brush cutters and mowers
  • Management of weeds, vegetation and plants/trees
  • Plant identification
  • Monitor/Assess land management
  • Assess impact on flora, vegetation and plants

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Able to perform physical outdoor work
  • Value the preservation of natural bushland
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Working With Children Check
  • Willing to undertake a medical assessment
  • Genuine interest in conservation and land management

AGA Trainees will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
