Engineering (Tool Making) Apprenticeships – Airport West

AGA are seeking an individual to undertake a Tool Making Apprenticeship to work with an organisation based in Airport West. The successful candidate will work full time for 4 years whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Tool Making)’.  

  • Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment
  • Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts
  • Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies
  • Assist in the design, and manufacture of Machine tools and Jigs
  • Repair and maintenance of existing tooling
  • Apply knowledge of appropriate engineering principles, techniques, procedures, diagnostic methods, tools and equipment to achieve the required outcome

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Enjoy technical work
  • Able to work as part of a team & independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace


  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Pre Apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Medical
  • Genuine interest in engineering

AGA Apprentices will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Obtain personal protective equipment
