Horticulture Traineeship – Western Sydney

AGA are seeking individuals to undertake a Horticulture Traineeship, working with an organisation based in Western Sydney. The successful candidates will work full time for 24 months whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Horticulture’.  
Responsibilities:

  • Read landscape plans and construct rockeries, paths or ponds
  • Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns
  • Maintain gardens by fertilising and trimming
  • Prune trees and hedges
  • Operate and install irrigation and drainage systems 

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Enjoy practical and mechanical work
  • Able to undertake manual and heavy work
  • Able to work outdoors in all sorts of weather conditions

Requirements:

  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Pre Apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Medical
  • Genuine interest in Horticulture

AGA Apprentices will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Obtain personal protective equipment
