As an Education Support Trainee you will work closely with the classroom teacher to prepare learning aides and assist primary school students with language, literacy and numeracy.

Our Education Support Trainee will work 5 days per week (8:45am – 3:30pm) for 12 months whilst completing a Certificate III in Education Support. Our successful trainee must available to attend classroom based training at AGA’s training facility located Deer Park during the school holidays. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist teaching staff by performing non-teaching duties
• Assist and participate in learning activities
• Prepare learning areas and activities
• Provide individual support to students
• Assist with the preparation of teaching aids and resources

• Strong communication skills
• Patient and compassionate
• Mature and sensible
• Able to follow instruction
• Able to accept direction and supervision

Requirements:

• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain immediately) 
• Drivers licence 
• Must be available to work 5 days per week for 12 months (8:45am – 3:30pm)
• Must be available to attend training in Deer Park on both weeks of the school holidays

AGA Trainees will:

• Attend accredited RTO training during the school holidays
• Receive ongoing mentoring & support
• Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
• Work one on one with students
• Support children with additional/special needs
• Government funding available for eligible candidates
