UEE22020 – Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start)
This pre-apprenticeship provides you with broad knowledge and practical workshop skills in domestic and commercial electrical work, including:
- apply environmentally and sustainable energy procedures
- use drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes and specifications
- test, fix and secure electrical equipment
Start date: Monday 16 October 2023
Location: 301 Foleys Rd, Deer Park VIC 3023
Duration: 16 weeksThis course will run every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am to 4pm. There will be breaks over the Christmas and New year period.
At the end of your pre-apprenticeship course you could start a full time apprenticeship with AGA.
The Certificate II in Electrotechnology will help you get an electrical apprenticeship and you may be able to use some credits towards your Certificate III apprenticeship.

Building and construction
22614VIC – Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship
This pre-apprenticeship provides you with broad knowledge and practical workshop skills in a number of building and construction areas, including:
- safe handling of selected hand and power tools
- interpreting documents and plans
- components of building structures
At the end of your pre-apprenticeship course you could start a full time apprenticeship with AGA.
The Certificate II in Building and Construction will help you get a building and construction apprenticeship and you may be able to use some credits towards your Certificate III apprenticeship.

Construction pathways
CPC20220 – Certificate II in Construction Pathways
This pre-apprenticeship is part of the Multi-Industry Pre-apprenticeship Project (MIPP) and provides you with training over a range of skills to help you return to school, start vocational training or move into work.
You will gain basic knowledge and skills in
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrotechnology
Students who successfully complete this program will be awarded with a Certificate II in Construction Pathways. The units that you complete as part of this certificate are nationally recognised and you can use them to get credits in other study options with the same units.
This program is supported by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.
