AGA are seeking an individual to undertake an Gardening Apprenticeship working with a Local Government organisation based in Notting Hill. The successful candidates will work full time for 4 years whilst completing a ‘Certificate III in Park and Gardens’.  

  • Prepare fields, garden beds or lawn areas
  • Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns
  • Prune trees and hedges
  • Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery, fertilisers and chemicals
  • Operate and install irrigation and drainage systems

Role Selection Criteria:

  • Enjoy practical and mechanical work
  • Able to undertake manual and heavy work
  • Able to work outdoors in all sorts of weather conditions


  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Pre Apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Medical
  • Genuine interest in parks and gardens

AGA Apprentices will:

  • Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Obtain personal protective equipment
